I know this is incredibly late, but now that I’m finally home, I’m trying to catch up on all the music releases i have missed. SO this is for anyone who isnt 7 months ahead of me. BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE PRESENTS KEVIN DREW! The entire CD is amazing, and, thanks to Benny, i was able to listen to “gang bang suicide” over and over on my travels, so coming home and hearing the rest issssss perfecttttttt. “Spirit If” is quite a dynamic album, not unlike any other broken social scene album, although much more low key. In an interview Drew described his band by saying ”We want to affect audiences’ hearts and minds with honesty.”, and that is just damn sweet! Going from camp fire type songs in “when it begins” to guitar fused “lucky ones” this album is one of my favourite 2007 releases. AND FOR EVERYONE LIVING IN CALGARYYYYYYY, WE CAN SEE DREW PERFORM AT SLED ISLAND!!!! FRIDAY JUNE 27th!
